We binge-watched the whole set and the 6th within 2 days!
I have read these are transfers from LD .. could be, the source is not VHS, much better than that. Reviewed in the United States on December 19, 2014. Yeah so the picture quality is a bit off especially on the first one, however, that's not why I bought it. This has all 5 films and a 10 min "making of" for films 2-5.
Jack Deth (Tim Thomerson, Near Dark) is a trooper in Angel City circa 2247, mopping up the last of the disciples of the evil Whistler, who uses his psychic power to trance and control those with weak minds. Factual errors: 'Art LaFleur' 's surname is misspelled in the opening credits as Le Fleur, though it does appear as La Fleur in the closing credits. Trancers would eventually go on to spawn five straight-to-video sequels, and it’s easy to see why. One of the greatest movier series ever made ... IMHO.

It doesnt have the dodgy Trancers 6 (which is maybe a good thing - as it was pretty poor without Thomerson), but the covers, and overall package design is excellent. The original was always a cheesy "B-Movie" but it had such a tongue in cheek ambition about it that I couldn't help but love it.
However, Jack singes Whistler's body. It's well made, and the discs aren't stacked on top of each other, or stuffed into disc sleeves as I have seen with other discount collections.
